Up until I had seen the ReachOut Psychosis presentation at my school in December, I didn’t really know much about any of the brain disorders that affect the people around me.  Once Tracy and the rest of the group had finished, I understood that people in our society hold many misconceptions about mental illnesses like bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia, and I feel that these fallacies need to be broken.  People should know that those who suffer form these conditions are completely able to be functional members of society, and people should also be more aware of the symptoms.  It doesn’t take much to help somebody who may be ill, and if more people were aware of what to look for, maybe some cases wouldn’t get as severe.  Hopefully, by doing their tour, ReachOut has helped many people who may not even have known that they suffer from Psychosis.
