Help
for you
Are you
are having trouble thinking? Are you hearing things that seem
strange or that other people don't hear? Best thing to
do is to go to your family doctor or a doctor
in a clinic and tell them about it. They can check you
out and figure out what is wrong and what to do. Lots of things
can cause these kinds of symptoms, and a doctor is the best person
to help. Also check out our resources
page for more info, or visit the basics
about psychosis page.
Help
for a friend or family member
If
you know someone you think might have psychosis, encourage
them to go to their doctor for a checkup. If they seem
to be really ill and the doctors office isn't open, take them
to emergency. Don't try to argue them out of any strange beliefs
or paranoia they might be having, but you don't have to agree
with them either. The best thing is to help them get medical help.
Also check out our resources
page for more info (check out the video
there about someone who helped her friend get help), or the basics
about psychosis page..
